We can all agree that even through a craniotomy the cribriform plate needs to be removed to ensure complete eradication of the meningioma. Then the question is how much of the superior septum is resected? The middle turbinate attachment is lost. How will this affect form and function of the nose? Will this contribute to the problems you mentioned..maybe less so? It is all a trade off. BTSMD

well you did an excellent job removing the tumor, but don't you worry about the possibility of causing atrophic rhinitis or other problems by removing so much tissue? it seems like you removed a lot during this surgery.
